Midweek Updates

Well, nothing much to speak of, really. I'm working on a new header in photoshop, and I'm also working on the StarClan Speaks artwork, and as soon as that's done, it goes up on iTunes!

Storm and I are gearing up for the weekend podcast, and I've even written a rant! W00t!

Other than that, just some minor updates around the site, just cleaning stuff up, really.

Postponed!?!? WHAT!?!?!?! (Oh, and some good news)

Yes, the latest Ss podcast has been *gasp* postponed until next weekend. *Gasp again*
Storm was grounded, because his ******* ***** *** *** *** (Not swearing, btw).
I plan to do a special feature on the new Warriors Adventure Game, as well as the usual stuff, etc.

The good news is that Blizz, from Ww, has agreed to advertise/endorse/give a shoutout to StarClan Speaks! How great is that!? In the next news update, she will advertise our little podcast. Also, she says that she had been listening even before I wrote her! *Gasp again again*.
Anyways, this will give us a HUGE boost. Just imagine how popular/powerful Ww is, and I have somehow managed to tap into that power. Blizz is being TOTALLY awesome about my little plea for help. I'm sure she gets requests like this ALL the time.
Anyways, expect the new episode to be out next weekend!

Until next time,
Ember

Warriors Adventure Game

Well, the Warriors Adventure Game came out yesterday, and it's not what most people expected. Gasp.
It's a classic pen and paper RPG, like D&D or something, and so most people hate it because you have to use your 'imagination' or whatever. DON'T BE HATERS!!
This game is really cool. I have a guilty obsession with RPGs like this, so it's all good for me. Also, I have two other siblings that are as into Warriors as I am, so I can play it with them, which is one of the problems for most people.
The thing is that everyone was expecting an online thing, which, according to Vicky, is coming out towards the end of next year, which should be nice. The screenshots were for this game, NOT the Adventure Game.
For those fans who don't have people to play it with, and were expecting something else, I feel for you. I really do. I can't imagine coming home after school, or whatever, and finding out that you in fact can't just sit down and play it online with some nice graphics and whatnot. *Shiver*.
But if the fact that it requires people to play it with is stopping you, there are already plans by Blizz of Ww(Like she needs any introduction) to set up a Skypechat thing to play this, and I'm sure some other people are doing the same.
Just give it a chance, and wait for the other game to come out. Play this while you wait, because the other game will take forever to come out.

Until next time,
Ember

Shoot, man!

Sorry sorry! School has kind of caught me off guard, so I've been REALLY busy the last couple
of weeks. Storm and I are going to try and get another podcast recorded next weekend, and that
should spark my return. The hiatus is officially off, so be expecting more stuff soon. I haven't died!
Also, the podcast is being put up on iTunes, and I'm currently working on some album art for that.

Until next time,
Ember

Hiatus

Man, I have been kind of falling down on everything, so I'm going to take a hiatus! My grandparents are visiting, so I'm just going to take some time to not worry about the site. Sorry I haven't mentioned this earlier.

Until next time,
Ember

Warrior's Wish has done it again...

If anyone hasn't seen the new Ww site, go there NOW. That's all I really have to say.

The podcast will be out soon, SO sorry for getting off schedule!

Monday, 3 August 2009

Shoot.

Well, Storm and I started recording Episode 2 Friday, but halfway through it Storm had to leave, and we were going to finish it yesterday, but I got busy, and then today we ran out of time, so we have nothing to show for ourselves. What we're going to do is probably finish the episode(or start a new one) either during the week or next weekend as usual. Sorry for the inconvenience, but life happens, right? Right? Nobody with me on that one? Hmm. XD

Until next time,
Ember

Bluestar's Prophecy

Weeeeel, since today is the 28th, this means that Bluestar's Prophecy is out today! WOO!! XD
Anyways, I hope you all can get it and enjoy it(Not me, I'm going to wait a day or two, and DEFINITELY not Storm, he's broke ;p). Just thought I'd mention that it came out. Can't wait to read it!

StarClan Speaks Episode 1: Spongebob jokes ain't that funny...

Welcome again to Episode 1 of StarClan Speaks! In this episode: Storm and Ember tackle TWO discussion topics, yes, TWO, and of course they cover the news and listener feedback(It's Ember's first time realizing that people actually hear his voice). But when Ember tries a Spongebob joke... well, you'll just have to listen. StarClan is speaking. Are YOU listening??

THE BIG 100!

Yes, this is post numbah 100, which means that we have reached 100 posts! Wow, that was hard to figure out, eh?
Anyways, It's a little hard for us to believe that we made it all the way to 1oo. The very first post was this:

Warriors rocks. I just want to say that out loud.

Yeah... we've come a long way from there(But not many more readers... ;p), and we intend to keep going! The next post will be Episode 1 of StarClan speaks, so enjoy!

Monday, 20 July 2009

Crud.

Well, there was going to be another episode of the podcast released today, but we had to take our computer into the Apple Store for some aid... it was making a lot of fan noise that it hadn't before, and if you shut it down it took forever to start back up again, meaning that it started and the fan came on, then it would die and not start up at all.
All this is to say that the episode will be a little bit delayed in coming out(Nooooo XD!). The schedule is going to be recorded every saturday, published every sunday, unless stuff comes up(Like it did today).

In other news, I'm sure that everyone is aware of the new official forums on warriorcats.com, so if you want to jaw with me(Love that word), I am on there as Emberfall, or Ember.

Until next time,
Ember

StarClan Speaks Episode 0: Smileys Galore!

Here it is! The long awaited Episode 0 of StarClan Speaks!! This was originally going to be extra-long, but Storm and I got short on time. Nevertheless, here is Episode 0. Enjoy.

Until next time,
Ember

Oh my...

I just want to apologize for STILL not getting out the podcast. We have number 0 recorded and ready to release, but on Wednesday I caught a really bad fever that spiked to 104 or 105 at its highest, and at one point I had what we think was a combination of a panic attack and a seizure caused by the fever... it got so bad that we had to call paramedics to come to our house. I am completely over that, but things just got waaaaaay out of control and I wasn't able to put out the podcast! :(
But, it is recorded and I'm almost done editing and such, so expect it out before if not by monday. Sorry!

Podcast(Again)

Well, Storm is spending the night at his friend's place tonight, so he can't get on Skype to do the podcast I was hoping to do tonight, so I'm just going to have to do it by myself!
That's right, Podcast Number 0 is coming out tonight, and I apologize for the long, long looong wait, but my Dad came through for me and I am now fully set up to put out podcasts! The schedule should be every Saturday or Sunday night unless something comes up in our scheduling conflicts. So be expecting that later, cya round!

Until next time,

Podcast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys it's me, Storm the guy that new site visitors probably haven't even seen a post from XD!!! So I do apologize for me and Ember's(mostly my)laziness, but we did do a rough draft podcast. We need to make finishing touches on it but in no time we should have it up.
thanks for supporting us-Storm

Meesa's back!

Hi, I'm back.

Until next time,
Ember

I kid, I kid. ;) There hasn't been much news lately, but Code of The Clans is out, so be expecting an official book review on that soon. I plan to do some updating today, and just to let you know, I have been looking into moving the site(gasp) to Ning, where it'll be a more community-oriented site.
Whether this will happen or not, I'm not quite sure. The ill-fated podcast is still underway, as Storm and I have had some, eh... communication difficulties. I have not been able to contact him for whatever reason, I think he might be on vacation. Shame on me for not knowing where my best friend is! Jeez.
Anyways, that's about it for now, I think, so... TTFN! Ta-ta for now!

(Please refer to top, 3rd line)

Haitus?? AGAIN???

Yes, I am going to be taking a hiatus from the site for a week or so. Storm will still be here though(Booing ensues).
I have just recently got the news that my grandfather has prostate cancer(Again), and that's a bit of a bummer. Also, I'm working hard on my book to hopefully get published. I don't think I've mentioned that before on the site, but I'm writing a sci-fi book that I'm hopefully going finish, but it's eating up my time because I have to write 1300 words a day, not to mention writer's clog/block.
So I'm just going to take a break from the site for a little while. Can't say exactly when I'll be back, but shouldn't be more than a week or so.
Talk to you soon!

Until next time,
Ember

Just an update

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to mention that instead of writing a post every day, I'm going to make some kind of update to put in the updates list for you. Not much else to say, though.
I'm waiting for the 9th to get Return to The Clans and Code of The Clans, and hope you are too! Talk to you later!

Until next time,
Ember

Wednesday, 3 June 2009

Ehhh... what?

Well... not much going on to speak of right now. As much as I say that I've been working on the podcast, and you're like, 'whatever', I really have been.
Storm has yet to get Skype, which bugs me a bit *Pokes Storm* ;) , and I've been working on hosting.
Just as a quick note, Dovey(No, she's probably not coming back) and I have been talking back and forth about working on a Warriors timeline, starting when Rusty/Fireheart/Overused character came to the forest, and ending with Hollyleaf's tragic death.
Sound cool? I have also decided that we need another field guide thing, that REALLY goes into the Clan's life. Like a list of how border patrols are organized, what kind of news is shared at gatherings, etc.
I'm going to mention this again, if you haven't voted for us on Ww Topsites, please do that. We really need the publicity right now, as things are getting kind of slow. Also, if you feel like it, please write a review! Tell us what you think!
Anyways, that's about it for now, I guess.

Until next time,
Ember

A quickie

Sup? It's The Procrastinator himself!
Well, there's not much to speak of today, but just wanted to let you know that we have moved up from 13th place to 12th place on the Warrior's Wish Topsites. If you can, go and vote for us, and maybe even write a review(Pretty please???).
Storm and I are working as hard as we can on the podcast. He still needs to talk to his dad about Skype, and I'm working on some other stuff like hosting and recording software.
I think that's about it for now, though. Again, sorry for the delays, but I should be getting back on track with the site. Thanks for reading!

Until next time,
Ember

Warrior's Wish Topsites

Hi, everyone! Sorry about the long wait, I've been SUPER BUSY, as I've said before. Anyways, this is just a quick update saying that I have submitted our site to Warrior's Wish Topsites, as the 20th site(I would have done it earlier, but I got too busy with more important things). We currently don't have a banner, as I haven't gotten around to getting the code to ours yet. I hope we'll get submitted, as we REALLY need the publicity right now. That Seekers review and more is coming soon, and I've learned mah lesson: Don't make promises. I'm probably not going to do a post a day, but I will be trying to keep a steady flow of posts and updates coming through.
TTYL!

Until next time,
Ember

Sorrysorrysorry!

Hey, sooooo sorry I didn't do a post yesterday OR THE DAY BEFORE! I was in the middle of writing the post for Tuesday when I had to eat, and then I didn't have time to finish it, and I was going to post two or three yesterday, but the news came in that I lost my short story contest and I didn't really want to do anything.
Anyways, just want to apologize for not getting those posted, I will post them later today, I SWEAR IT. I am not giving up, just ran into a roadbump with the contest and running out of time and everything.
Just to mention it, Vicky has released another Authortracker, and I'll be talking about that, and my review of Great Bear Lake, and then some other stuff.

Until next time,
Ember

Seekers Book 2: Great Bear Lake

So, if you'll remember, my cousin bought the next Seekers book, and I was able to borrow it from her to read it in the past couple of days. Just let me go ahead and say that my review isn't going to be very good(If you were around for The Quest Begins review, this one isn't much better), so if you are one of those demented people who actually like the Seekers books(I kid), then you probably won't want to read the rest of this unless you REALLY want to read my humble take on it. For everyone else, read on!

Okay, so let me start out by saying that this book(Great Bear Lake) was far better than The Quest Begins, as it was written by one of the Erins, Cherith(Cue cheering) instead of T. Sutherland. As soon as I saw the "Special thanks to Cherith Baldry" in the devotion, I knew this was going to be better. And it was, to put it rather bluntly.
To save time, let me list my pros and cons, and then I will go into more detail.

PROS-

As I said before, this was written by Cherith, so you know it's going to be at least enjoyable.

Interesting bits from Toklo's perspective, I kind of enjoyed that. Also, I kind of liked the way the book covers all three bear's stories by giving their POVs from chapter to chapter.

An intriguing climax with some impudent bears that tried to take matters into their own hands when the food was running low.

The subplot of Taqqiq not wanting to go with Kallik was very interesting, not to mention unexpected.

CONS-

Well, Taqqiq's name annoys me. ;) Seriously, though, three Qs and no Us? Come on.

The whole bit about Ujurak and Toklo was stupid to me, how he runs into him again, and then how they fight and Toklo beats him? Huh?

Lusa reminded me too much of Hollyleaf, who I didn't like much. I have to take Toklo's stance; she was whiny and weak and very, very annoying.

Lame plot. If this weren't by the same authors and the same publisher, I would call it a total knockoff and not even read it. As Dovey says, "It's like they're doing a knockoff on themselves." While it was better than the previous book, it was still retarded.

The whole thing was just a front for a political agenda: Global warming and the whole green-awareness thing.

Okay, so now that I've listed those, I'm going to work backwards up the list on the stuff I want to hit.  The first(Or last) thing was the political agenda. I'm just going to come out and say that I am not a supporter of global warming, and leave it at that.
I don't want to argue with you guys over this, it's just my personal opinion. But that's beside the point that you shouldn't put that in a book. Even if it was something I agreed with, I still think it would be stupid for them to make it a major theme in a children's book. Come on.

The plot here was really kind of lame, and reminded me too much of Brother Bear, that weird disney movie about a hunter that gets turned into a bear. Very similar themes and storylines, like, for example, the whole 'where the lights touch the earth' thing, and the animal spirits, and even the names of the characters(I didn't like Brother Bear, BTW).
Admittedly, there were some cool plot hooks, but the overlying story is kind of, well... stupid. It was better than the previous book, I can tell you that much, but it doesn't grab me and make me keep turning pages like Warriors does.

Anyways, I think that's about everything that I have to say about this book.
Overall, I'd give it... hmm... 3 out of 5. It was better than The Quest Begins, but not by much.

Until next time,
Ember

Post a Day No.1

Hello everyone! Before I begin the actual post, let me just say I'm really sorry for not posting much lately, I've been really busy with writing a short story for a contest and homework and such. What I'm going to be doing is writing AT LEAST one full post a day for the rest of the month and probably longer. This should keep you happy, and I swear upon StarClan that I will keep this promise. This post is going to be some site updates, as I have been working on it lately. Enjoy!

So, the most recent update was the linkback. I had a complaint or two that it was rather big(hey, I've seen bigger), so I made it not as tall. I also moved it from the front page to the 'about' section.
On that note, I've gotten some requests from peeps that want me to put their linkbacks on the site(now why would they want me to do that?), so I'm working on that. Currently I don't have place to put them, sorry! I'm working on that as fast as I can.

Just as a random note, I took the warriors quiz for Outcast, and I am a Clan Leader! w00t!
Anyways, that's about it for now, I think. I also did some smaller things around the site, just cleaning stuff up. Storm and I are working on the podcast, and we are realizing that the idea is almost a year old, as is our site, and we STILL haven't come out with our podcast! Wow, lame, isn't it? Anyways, no promises, but it should be out soon. Talk to you later!

Until next time,
Ember

Sunrise

Yes, as you all know, Sunrise hit shelves on the 21st, and I picked it up the next day, and MAN what a book.
Now, before I begin, let me just say that if you haven't read this book, or you are behind in the series, DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS POST. This post contains MAJOR spoilers, and well, will just ruin the experience for you. If you have read the book, or you don't care, then read on, mah friend!

First of all, the cover looks awesome. I love that picture of Hollyleaf on the front, so... fluffy! And that cool orange color... gasp. Then when you remove the jacket, there's a cool maroon color cover. Neat. Anway, the book itself is written by Cherith, so you just know its going to be one of those books that has you screaming/crying/gaping in awe/gaping in shock, etc. Also, as the wrapup of an entire series, wow... Towards the end, it really began to feel like a spinning kick; things happening so fast it was hard to keep up. I had to put the book down and take a a breather a few times. So, lets go over the list of gasps in the book, shall we?

1. Jayfeather discovers who his mother is. Even though we all knew it was coming, it was still a breathtaking confrontation with Leafpool.

3. Hollyleaf is Ashfur's muderer! WOW. In awe-inspiring bit with Leafpool, the truth comes out.

2. Jayfeather reads Leafpool's thoughts to find out who their father is. Even more interesting, he doesn't believe them!

3. Hollyleaf reveals all at the Gathering(Save for the prophecy, and her murdering secret), forcing Crowfeather to accept the fact that he has three other children!

4. Hollyleaf forces Leafpool to eat deathberries because she knows about Ashfur's death. Leafpool says, "Which do you think would be easier for me? To go on living, or to die?" and leaves ThunderClan.

5. Hollyleaf... dies. In a tunnel collapse following a mad dash through the forest, she reveals her secret to Jay & Lion, and then she dies.

6. Whitewing & Birchfall's kit is now the new third(i.e. TFA) in the prophecy. It lives on!

And there you go. What I think is funny was I was sitting in my room doing homework, right after I had bought the book, and my brother walks in and we start talking about the book. He said, "Who doya think will be the murderer?"
And I said, "I don't know... Hollyleaf?" And he laughed, and we decided that it would be someone totally out of the blue, but I couldn't be Hollyleaf, because we had already seen her perspective in the book. Guess not, huh?
I still think that Lionblaze is actually Squirrelflight's kit, but maybe that theory is dead... I don't know. Also, we spent all this time going on about what Holly's power was, and she didn't have one! It was a spectacular book, so be expecting a book review on it soon.

Until next time,
Ember

VIcky Newsletter... and a new release date!?!?!? Read on!

The day before yesterday, Vicky released a new email newsletter(Authortracker) concerning her spring tour and the release date of Sunrise! If seems to me that the date has changed, but I may be wrong about that.
I was under the assumption that it was in May, I believe the 12th, but now it's the 21st of this month. If it hasn't changed, you can point fingers at me... ;)
The spring tour will be starting soon, so if you live in NY, NJ, IL, CO, OR, TX, FL, VA, and DC, you can see Vicky! If anyone goes to see her, please please please email me at ekaj.texas@gmail.com, and tell me all about it! She went on to talk about the Seekers books, which I have no interest in AT ALL, but if you want to read those for yourself, you can check it out at warriorcats.com

In other, site-related news, we are working on the podcast! I have bought some recording equipment and software, and Storm is going to download Skype soon, and then all I need is hosting, and BAM. You've got Episode 1 of StarClan Speaks! If you know a good cheap/free hosting service, let me know.

Until next time,

Roleplay

The new roleplay is almost finished, I'm almost done transferring the chars over and I'm working on the layout a bit. Now is the time to join! Choice spots for NightClan are open, so join up! I'd like to thank Earthfire, who was the first to join. I know this is a short post, but I've been busy, and will post more soon.

Until next time,

I'M BAAACCKK!!!!(new discovery)

Hey guys! Miss me? From the title, you can see that I found something out! There is a Warriors game coming out soon! It is called "Secrets of StarClan". It will have a real-time battle system and a plot that revolves around the first series. It will be available for PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and the Wii. Save Your Money!

Mmmm... I love the smell of Warriors in the morning

It has been released today that Target will be making Warriors-themed coffee mugs, and will be selling them in stores April 20th, as a promotional items for the upcoming Sunrise book. These mugs will be featuring main characters from the series, such as Firestar, Graystripe, Jayfeather, Bluestar, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Leafpool. The images will be originals from Wayne McLoughin. I, for one, think it is kind of weird that they would be doing coffee mugs and not stuffed animals or something. But, I will be keeping my eye out for these mugs!

Until next time,
Ember

Nightfall: The Chronicles of MoonClan

Yes, I have hinted at this in earlier posts, and now it's out into the light... Shadows in The Light has an official roleplay! This rp is from another site that wasn't Warriors, which I have mentioned before, so it already has some positions taken from players that were RPing on the other site with it. But, the link is here and in the site links, so enjoy! It's not done quite yet, but will be in about a day.

Until next time,
Ember

Oh no... not again... not the Shadows FORUM, NO!!!!

Yes, I am bringing it up again... the idea of a forum. I have announced this three times already, so here I will announce it again! I am going to be re-launching the ill-fated SiTL forum, and I hope that you'll join.
Storm and I will be visiting if stuff starts happening. It's going to kind of be very basic and rough right now, but I hope to upgrade to Ning soon, so that should be more fun when/if I do that. I learned my lesson last time when I didn't make it open to everyone, so this time it's going to be wide open to the public, so join up!
Really all you have to do is comment there, and you're seen as a member, and are added to the list. The link is here, so enjoy!

Also, don't tell anyone, just as a hint of what's to come... I might be making a new official roleplay, so you can join that, too... *Shifty eyes*

Until next time,
Ember

News... FINALLY.

Again, sorry for kind of falling behind on the warriors news out there guys... I will work on that! Anyways, here's some recent Warriors news. So shut up and read. ;)

Three new covers were released, though those of you who visit Warrior's Wish will already know this. The covers were those of the first Ravenpaw manga, which is nice and flame-y, TFA(The Fourth Apprentice), which is in the new series, Omen of The Stars, which looks very serene, to steal another description(Sorry, Hawkheart, if you're reading this!), and then, last but not least, Bluestar's Prophecy, which is JUST like the Firestar's Quest book, but silver and blue, which looks nice. Bluestar is even in the same position as Firestar... pics will be coming soon!

Also, Ww went through yet ANOTHER layout switch, this being the third layout they've had this year, and only 3 months into it... Blizz has also pledged to start really working on the site again, which the fans(Including me) all are loving. The layout is rainbow-ish and has nice little sidebar tidbits like release dates and stuff like that. Check it out, the link is here.

There has been a new Warriors poll on warriorcats.com, and the poll is asking visitors to vote on who is the wisest leader. The three options are Firestar, Leopardstar, and Onestar. Currently, Firestar is at 79%(Of course), Leopardstar is at 11%, and Onestar is at 10%. I voted Onestar, even though I just knew Firestar would be winning... he's such a mary-sue. Ugh.

In other news, the third Seekers book is out, which just makes me mad that Vicky isn't devoting all of her time to warriors. Great Bear Mountain hits bookshelves with a lame title, but if the book is lame itself is yet to be seen. My cousin bought this one, too, so I can check it out(If you like Seekers, no offense meant, but those who are familiar with Shadows will know that I don't). I know that this isn't really warriors news, but whatever.

This isn't really news, but I have discovered that Warriors is a very appealing story, even to those that don't read the books. On a different site I visit, there's a free RPG section, and a member made a warriors rpg, and it got a bunch of people on that didn't know what the books were, but liked the idea. Cool, huh?

There is some new Warriors reading material out! The Firestar special story(Remember that?) from the ULE is out, so go download the PDF here, and read on! I have not read this, but I will and I will post a review soon. If you voted for FS, then this is for you, if not, well... just read it anyway, will ya?

And that's about it for now. Thanks for reading!

Until next time,
Ember

New accounts

Just a quick update, I switched over to mah other account(I was using my father's), and that should have cleared up some problems I was having, so I will be able to post more and such. If you check out my blogger account, you can see my new account. I need to fill out the info, but it should be slightly different. Again, this is a very quick post, just a tech update. But, I will get back to the news and reviews. Sorry for kind of letting you guys down on the content a bit, I've been REALLY busy the past few months, but it should be back to normal soon.

Until next time,
Ember

Updates??? What? NO WAY.

Yes, it's time for more updates... I fixed the other pages, they are now active, and that's really about it. One of our readers, Earthfire(If you're reading this I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT GETTING BACK TO YOU), has an RP site, and they have asked us to be affies. I am going to do this, but, as you just saw in the parentheses, I haven't gotten back to her. Now it's time for me to beg.

Please, if you are reading my blog, visiting my site, yes, there are many lurkers here, I know it because of my special admin powers... please comment. We need the support.  This is essentially for the fans, and if the fans don't give feedback, then what eventually happens? The site crashes and burns. I DON'T want that to happen. And besides, I love talking to you all! This is a very community-appreciative site. If you have an idea, chances are we'll use it, and give you credit! So please, stop lurking and start commenting!

Until next time,

New layout!

How long has it been since we did I new layout? Hmm? Well, this new layout is more... eh, blue, and I like a lot better... hope you do too! As I don't have much time to do anything else, I can't add pictures and such just yet. I gotta go to bed, and I have the flu, so that's even further reason to not keep updating... but I'll probably be stuck in bed all of saturday, so expect big things(Well, I hope so)! The new layout currently only effects the about section and the homepage, but I will fix that.

Oh, and sorry for not posting the chat. I had some browser problems, and it didn't end up getting posted. Sorry folks. It'll get posted tomorrow though, so talk to ya then!

Until next time,
Ember

Sorry about that.

yeah... for those of you who read my last post... you can rest assured that Shadows will NOT be doing a CP group. I must have been on crack when I wrote that. Just a quick post here to let you know that I haven't gone crazy. Heh heh.

Until next time,

Club Penguin Warriors Group

Yes, you just saw the headline. No, I'm not joking.
Here's the deal. Recently I have been jacking around on Club Penguin, and I began to think that, "Hey, I could start a Warriors Group!" And so, I bring the idea to you. There isn't much backbone behind it, but we will hold panels and discussions regularly, etc. If you're interested, my CP username is Angryraccoon. I'm going to be putting up a widget on the sidebar that you can click on, and it'll show you how many people have joined the group, and it will take you to the Club Penguin website. To join, just make a comment and I'll add you to the group. Thanks.

Until next time,
Ember

Yes, Storm and I have finally sat down and done pt.1 of our chat, so please read that and enjoy. And yes, I know that I said the &#$*% podcast would be out on the 2nd of last month, but, as things happened, Storm and I were too busy to do it. Sorry about that.
Anyway, the chat will be posted soon, so look out for that!

Until next time,
Ember

We'll miss you....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news.
But, I find myself bearing it once again.
Dovey, our cheerful, young, spitfire companion is leaving Shadows In The Light for bigger and better things.
I have to congratulate her on a splendid job of running the gallery, keeping Storm in line, and getting under my skin(jk). And, I also have to congratulate her on becoming the first staffer to actually get a life.
Bye, Dovey, we'll miss you.

DARK RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes!! I finally got this holy book! So far it's awesome, but I don't like the HeatherpawXLionpaw romance. Also, I can finally post again, so that's cool, too.

Book reviews...

Okay, all you critics! I want YOU, yes YOU, to email me your reviews of the Warriors series, and I will post them in the Book Reviews section.
Earthfire, if you're reading this, can you do a review of one of the mangas for me? That would be great, as it was your idea. Thanks!

Shadows in The Light presents... "How to Share Warriors Books Without Killing The Recipient" Pt. 1

As the title implies, this is "How to Share Warriors Books Without Killing The Recipient"(Or just HSWBWKTR).
This should help you do this, but, notice the should. No promises.

Now, let's paint a scenario: You just bought your shining golden hardback copy of Firestar's Quest. BUT: you have a smelly little sibling, and an even smellier little sibling(No offense to my smelly little siblings), who you got into warriors a few years ago. How in the world are you going to share this shining golden hardback copy?!?!?!?!?!?!?

a., you can hit them over the head with the book's shining golden hardback awesomeness until they are too        senseless to even move, much less read, or

b., you can go run away to the beaches of Scotland(Unless you live in Scotland, and then you can run away      to Ireland, and if you live in Ireland, you can't run anywhere) and read it yourself, or

c., you can calmly yet firmly set up a turn order(Which they will love, OR ELSE).

Okay, let's look at our options.
If you picked a, I'm sorry to tell you that this is not going to work. Why?
Well, two reasons. Number one, your shining golden hardback copy of Firestar's Quest is going to not be so shiningly golden(Or even dull golden) after hitting your smelly little siblings over the head with it(Gasp), and Number two, even if the book stayed shiningly golden, they will recover after a while, and your devious mother/father/marmoset will take the book away from you and let them read it first. And they are such slow readers, not to mention the fact that they will make the book all smelly and probably dunk it in some soda.

Next, if you picked b, well... never mind, that might work, unless you live in Ireland.

And finally, c is the correct answer. What you need to do is read the book yourself, then give it(Carefully, you don't want to bend the pages) to the smelly little sibling who can read the fastest, then to the next fastest, and so on and so forth.

And still, you could always read it and then hide it in your Warriors shrine and make them buy their own, but this is usually easier.
Stay tuned for Part 2, when we delve into the engrossing topic of sharing with your friends!

Until next time,
Ember

Brightspirit's Mercy... Warriors Play No.2

This is a special has been released recently on Warriorcats.com recently. It, as the title implies, is play number 2 by Vicky(Or whoever), following up the After Sunset: We Need to Talk Sunset play. This one has nothing to do with the Sunset play, but sounds interesting.
Apparently, as the site says, "...Brightspirit's Mercy has enough parts of over a dozen people and it is sure to keep you busy when you finished reading all the latest books!"
It seems like you're supposed to get up and act out the roles of the cats at your school or whatever(Anyone fancy doing that?)... yeah.
Anyway, it hopefully will be as eye-opening as the previous one. As Blizz and Blackie said in their incredibly outdated podcast, "If you haven't read it, read it. It'll change your life."

Until next time,
Ember

Argh...

There's been a problem with Storm's email and account, so I am busy fixing that... sorry if you wanted more posts by him.
His email screwed up on us, and he had to set up a new one, and that meant a whole new blogger account, ect, ect. This is almost fixed, so sorry for the delay.

2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know we have done some small happy new year's references, but I would like to say out loud....

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S!!!!!

Now, with that off my chest, I will put a date on the podcast. It will be out by February 2nd, if not sooner. I am terribly sorry about all of the screwups that happened in the making of this(Like the thing where I said it would be out around mid October. Yeah right.), but Storm and I are busting our chops trying to get this thing set up for you. Heck, it was the only reason we set up the site in the first place!
Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying the new year, and also are enjoying the site.

Until next time,
Ember

Forum

Hey everyone. I said I'd do a forum, and now you have one(Albeit a very low-tech one).
Membership is request only, so it's not open to everyone(This is to keep a small-community feel(I don't hate you). What it is a is basically a blog where all of the comments are seen as posts.
Please note that it is in a very beta mode right now, so more changes coming soon! Further down the road we may have an official forum(i.e. hosted by a forum site like proboards or something), but for now, we have this.
Enjoy!

I let you down.../Happy new year!/Happy birthday Storm!

Ugh. I hate it when this happens, but it does sometimes.
I made a promise to make our post count hit triple digits, and, that didn't happen, due to some unexpectedly busy holidays.
So, to make up for this screwup, I'm going to launch an entirely new site! This site will be the personal diaries of my warriors experience, logging the time I spend reading, going to vicky tours, working on the site, ect, ect.
Today is the last day of Christmas break, and I am currently wasting it, so I need to work on the site!
Anyway, I just got a new laptop, so it'll be a while before I put up any new graphics or anything, considering the fact that I am currently transferring all my data onto the new machine.
Sorry about this.
Anyway, I'd like to just wish everyone a happy new years, and to thank Storm for the happy birthday! His birthday was four days before mine, so...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
(Belatedly)

Until next time,
Ember
