This is the new cover for the second Tigerstar & Sasha manga, which is due for release 12/23.
Please note that this review isn't a good one. If you have read and enjoyed the first T&S book, then prepare yourself, because I am about to totally crush it. If you liked it, fine by all means. I don't want to offend anybody.
Okay, let's begin.
I'm going to go ahead and say that this book deserves a 3/10, and, like the Seekers review, that's only because it's coming from the Erins. If it weren't it would be a -1/10.
The reason I'm able to say this befiore the book actually comes out is the fact that I've seen the artwork for the book already.
And in a manga(Or anything else in a comic format), the art is more than half of the book. You want it to look good, right?
Well, I'm going to be blunt about it.
The artwork in the last one made me sick.
And the artwork in this one made me sick as well.
There you go. Blunt as could be. Now, moving on.
The story is okay, but the artist doesn't even draw in the manga style. And, yet again, this series isn't real manga(Which reads right to left).
I was going to include a sample page here, but, due to some errors, you'll have to look for yourself, here.
As you can see, the artist, Don Hudson, draws people better than cats. In my opinon, this was dumb choice to make for an artist. I mean, this is about cats. 'Nuff said.
From what I can see, Sasha spends the first part of the book arguing with Tigerstar(Who, by the way, looks like a 7-year-old drew him. In fact, all of the cats look like 7-year-olds drew them), then leaves him to fins Ken, her owner who abandoned her for unexplained reasons.
Long story short, she doesn't fins him and sets into Twolegplace, where alley cats attack her, ect., ect.
Now, if you like T&S, as said above, you can buy it and love it to death, as you would any other warriors book. That's fine with me.
But I won't be doing that. I would never spend my own money on it, and I really do hope I don't get given it as a present for christmas. *Shiver*.
I think they should hire Bettina Kurkoski(The one who did The Rise of Scourge)
But that's just my opinon.
Until next time,
Ember

The artwork was really terrible in these! It also bugged me that Tigerstar kept saying Firestar was leader, when Bluestar was still leader!! My friend draws waaaay better than Don. Not me, I can't draw much of anything.
Blah, I know. Dovey can draw better than him as well. So can I, but I don;t draw very much. The problem with these is that in maga, the artwokr is half of the presentation. And if the artworks stinks and looks like this does, well...
Earthfire, how would you like to write a review for one of the special editions or a manga? You can email it to me and I'll post it in the new section of the site. I want to get various reviews from people, and I wanted to knwo if you wanted to be the first?
